Blue route

Your trip starts form the little pier in Moltrasio, direction South towards Como. You’ll admire the villas on the coast of Moltrasio, among which the worldwide known Villa Fontanelle, a.k.a. “Villa Versace“.

Passed the promontory after the villa, you’ll be in front of the beatiful landscape of the town of Cernobbio. Here you’ll notice for sure the magnificent Grand Hotel Villa D’Este.

Once you reach the ferry stop in Cernobbio, we suggest you to cross the lake towards the village of Blevio on the eastern side of the lake. there you could sightsee many wonderful villas, like the peculiar Villa Trubelzshoy, Villa Cademartori, Villa Belvedere, Villa Taverna and the luxury Resort “Casta Diva”.

You’ll get then to the pictoresque village of Torno and its nice square next to the lake.

Proceeding north, you’ll see few kilometers far from you another magnificient ancient villa: Villa Pliniana. You’ll be there in 15 minutes roughly. In the meanwhile you could admire the brand-new resort “Il Sereno“. You are now in front of Villa Pliniana, shut down the engine, relax and… why not? Have a bath in the fresh and calm waters of Lake Como.

If you still have an hour to spend you can cross the lake towards Laglio and shot a picture to Villa Oleandra, hoping that George Clooney is at home.

Follow the coast from Laglio to Moltrasio and you’ll still have time to be charmed from villas and the romanic masterpiece of the SS. Quirico and Giulitta’s church in Carate Urio just next to the lake.
